The challenge
The International Electric Machines and Drives Conference is a biennial conference that met virtually in 2021 in the midst of the unknowns of the pandemic. The general chair hired RNA Associates as the planner for the conference when they were not sure if they would be in person or virtual.

The solution
We proposed that we would provide coordination regardless of the conference format. We navigated locating a venue and contracting while there were still government restrictions for meetings in place. When it became apparent that attendees would not be able to travel, we quickly pivoted to arranging for their conference to occur online. They had a fantastic event and were able to grow even amid the surrounding upheaval.
